Deborah F. Bayus graduated from Marshall University with a B.A. in Secondary Education, double major in English and Speech, with a minor in Sociology. She received her law degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and currently practices in the area of real estate and contract law. She offers a wealth of expertise in litigation and ADR (alternative dispute resolution) gained from her professional experience as a private practice attorney and personal business background. She strives to consistently maintain close and respectful communication with clients and to meet the highest ethical standards in and out of court.
As a resident of North San Diego County for more than 20 years, Ms Bayus continues to be actively involved in numerous community outreach programs. She has volunteered her legal assistance and guidance to the Domestic Violence Clinic, patrons of skilled nursing facilities, and the mentally challenged. Deborah is a frequent lecturer and instructor for Adult Education Classes, as well as a lecturer for MCLE credit to her colleagues. Always an advocate of higher education, Ms Bayus has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Diego’s Paralegal Program and currently teaches the legal studies program at Palomar College in San Marcos, CA.
Ms Bayus's legal affiliations include numerous memberships, with her greatest accomplishments being made through the North County Bar Association, where she served as President in 2008 and currently serves as Chair of Member Benefits, Past President Advisory and on the Editorial Committee of the North County Lawyer Magazine. Other involvement includes affiliation with Oliver Wendall Holmes Inns of Court, and the Lawyer Referral Service, where she serves as a panel attorney.
